Goldie's obituary
Goldie Jeanette Flagler, 88, passed away on November 12, 2021, at 8:35 pm. She passed away peacefully in her sleep of Congenital Heart Failure.
She was born March 13, 1933, in Vanderburgh County, Indiana, to George Flagler and Myrtle Huff. Goldie was Baptized by the church of St. John’s Cathedral, in Fresno, as Mary (Goldie) Flagler, on April 23, 1939.
Goldie was married to Norman P. Gotti from May 13, 1962- June 21, 1983. After 21 years of marriage she relocated to Scottsdale, Arizona. There she became the owner of several award-winning racehorses. She also met Mr. Theodore “Ted” Kessaris. The two decided after some time to move to South Lake Tahoe, Nevada where they became part of the Hospitality Industry. Goldie resided in Nevada until Mr. Kessaris passed away of heart related complications. This led her to relocate back to the Santa Cruz County area in 2001.
Goldie was a warm loving individual. She helped raise, nurture, and support one of her nephews and great nieces. She loved unconditionally putting those she loved above herself.
Goldie is survived by her sister Dolores Martello; 6 nieces and nephews; plus, over a dozen great nieces and nephews. She was a mother to great niece Stacey Monaco, husband Britt Monaco and a grandmother figure to their children Katarina Monaco, Samantha Mitchell, Chase Monaco, Kimberly Mitchell, Jessica Mitchell, Robert Monaco and Aiden Monaco.
She was preceded in death by her brother Stanley Flagler and sister Dolly Cardoza.
