Godfrey's obituary
Godfrey "Goff" John Sullivan, 76, of Naples, FL and also from Malvern, UK passed away peacefully on June 24, 2022, surrounded by his family and loved ones. Godfrey grew up in Bromsgrove, and was an instinctive sportsman, playing for the country in cricket and often appearing with his team in newspapers for their notable victories. Goff's natural aptitude for engineering combined with his unswerving work ethic was evident from his early working life where he won a prestigious national engineering competition against elite competition, resulting in the accolade of engineering apprentice of the year. He forged a successful global career in Garringtons, GKN and Unit Drop Forge where he made a tremendous and lasting impact on the international businesses, people and clients he touched always hallmarked by Goff's humility, honesty and humour.
Godfrey married Barbara in 1976 in Malvern, Worcestershire UK and they almost immediately moved to America where they worked as a team to grow their accomplishments, to contribute to their local communities and to enjoy a long and happy marriage. He is survived by his wife Barbara Sullivan and proudly hands his cricket bat over to his great-nephews - Jack, Teddy and George - to continue his legacy of success borne through determination, hard work and a sprinkle of charm both on and off the pitch.
Goff touched the lives of so many and will be dearly missed. We warmly invite all of Godfrey’s friends and loved ones to join us in celebrating his remarkable, beautiful life on Monday 8 August 11am GMT (6am EDT).
