Gloria Smith passed away on the 9th December 2019 at age 83 with her loving family by her side.
Gloria Smith (Nee) Bradshaw was born 07/08/1936 to Ada and Douglas Bradshaw her mother and father. Sister to the late Harold Bradshaw, Michael ‘Mick’ Bradshaw of Hucknall and Douglas ‘Doug’ Bradshaw who now lives in Perth, Western Australia.
Gloria spent some her childhood moving around Nottinghamshire. She was born in Blidworth, moving to Hillstown in Bolsover. Gloria then moved to Newstead where she attended Newstead Village School.
Gloria was a waitress in Browns Café in Hucknall where she waited on a gentleman who’d leave her extra tips. She later married Colin, whom she served in the café. Gloria married at 17 in 1953 to Colin Smith, living at Montague Road.
Gloria was a mother to Douglas and Suzanne, Grandma to Joel and Verity, and Great Grandma to Ruby, Orrianne and Franklin. Her family meant everything to Gloria, showering us so much love and care for almost 8 decades.
