Gloria's obituary

Gloria Jean Williams Myklebust was born on January 5, 1943 in Winter Park, Florida and passed the veil on November 9, 2022, attended by her husband, David Myklebust.

Gloria graduated from Plainfield High School in Plainfield, New Jersey in 1961 and received her Bachelor of Science from HBCU, Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio in 1965. She was a Peace Corps volunteer and taught English in Cameroon, West Africa, where she married her husband, David.

Gloria was the daughter of the late Eldridge Louis Williams, Sr. and Emma Jane Williams, nee Austin, the eighth of ten living children. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Evelyn, Edna, Viola, Mattie and Katherine, and her brothers, Eldridge Jr., W. Donald and Cebron L.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, David L. Myklebust (Palmdale, CA), her daughter, Jynae E.T. and her significant other, James Lawrence (Acton, CA) brother-in-law Steven Myklebust wife Lara, (Hemet, CA), sisters-in-law Pat Myklebust Bogan (Bend, OR), Liz Myklebust Kelly, husband Kevin (Loveland, CO) and her sister, Vivian C. Williams Douglas (Palmdale, CA).

Gloria is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins together with a large extended family of grand and great-grand nieces, nephews and cousins as will as many, many friends and colleagues.
