Sue's obituary

Gloria Sue Kinder, 63, went to be with the Lord on May 15 in Bloomingrose. At the time of her death, Sue lived in Lexington, Ky., with her oldest daughter and her husband, Carmen and Billy Grimm. Sue was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her favorite times were when she was cooking and caring for family; doing crafts and decorating; scrapbooking; and doing ancestry research. Sue was a thoughtful and caring person who will always be in our hearts. All who knew her will miss her. She was the absolute model of unconditional love who always thought of others first.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Alzena "Doll" Moore of Comfort; and her youngest daughter, Leigh Anne Kinder-Parsons of Bloomingrose. Also preceding her in death were her brothers Ray Moore and Timothy Moore; and her beloved aunts and uncles, Jack and Irene Linville, Norwood and Alma "Tootsie" Bayless and Glen and Vernie Foster.

Left to cherish her memory are her brother, Darris Moore of Comfort; her oldest daughter and son-in-law, Carmen (Kinder) Grimm and Billy Grimm of Lexington, Ky.; and her sister-in-law, Donna Moore, wife of Ray Moore, of Peytona. Sue was blessed with two granddaughters, Kelsey Hinson and Carleigh Thompson, whose mother was Leigh Anne Kinder-Parsons. Her granddaughters were the light of her life, and she loved them dearly. Sue will also be greatly missed by her cousins Freda Cooper of Chesapeake and Evonne Goldsburg of Kingsport, Tenn.; her very special friend, Kathy Sauls of Seth; as well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends may gather for a visitation service from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, May 19, at Armstrong Funeral Home, Whitesville.

Sue will be laid to rest alongside her daughter, Leigh Anne Kinder-Parsons, on Sunday, May 20, at noon in the family cemetery (Mt. Hope Cemetery) on Dawes Mountain with entrance from the Slaughters Creek Gate. Pastor Kevin Wade of Victorious Living Christian Center will be officiating.

Armstrong Funeral Home, Whitesville is serving the family.
