We are sending our love to the entire family and village of loved ones. Mama E was truly a gem and will be missed. Her legacy of class, integrity and immeasurable love will love on till the end of time. May God provide comfort as only He can. Until we meet again.
My condolences to the entire family, your mom, sister, in law, friend will be greatly missed. As the oldest sister of my BFF Nancy, I had a few occasions to be around Gloria and even once had the privilege of staying in her home. Her kindness, love, gentleness, and genuineness were palatable. Praying for you. Dianna McCormick James.
Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of your mother. Her love and guidance will forever be a part of you and her memory will live on in your hearts forever. I can't find the words to express how sorry I am for your loss. I'll be keeping you in my prayers for the comfort that only the Lord can give. - Dawn
Words cannot express how grateful I was as a youth growing up with Sister E. Her deep love and concern for the youth at Mount Carmel SDA Church was not only genuine, but it was life changing. Her words of wisdom mixed with her sense of humor, made it palatable to learn and retain truths that would be treasured for years to come. Praying God’s comfort for the family, family-like, as well as, close friends of Sister E. And most of all. I am looking forward to the day when we will all unite in the New Jerusalem.
Dear Joy, my condolences to you and your family with the passing of your mom. Sis Bell will always have a special place in my childhood memories while living in Tucson. She was one of the many mothers at the church and certainly not one to be played with. She could give you a look you know...I remember my mom talking about Sis Bell and all the fun they had running all over Tucson in my mom's car. Getting into mischief no doubt, and your mom reminist about those days too when I saw her in 2022. Cherish the memories of your mom and hold them dearly. You all are in my prayers. ❤🤎❤
Sis. Eldridge, better known as "E" to me, has held and will continue to hold a very special and sacred part of my heart. As a second mother, she influenced my life in ways that have shaped and made me the person that I am today. Rhinos are known to be kind and gentle, have peaceful personalities, be grounded and wise. "E" embodied all of these characteristics and was just a good person who unapologetically poured into everyone she came in contact with. I spoke with her weeks before her passing and the strength she had even in that conversation to be encouraging will always be remembered. I thank God for the opportunity to have known her and look forward to seeing her again in the earth made new.
Gloria "E" holds a very significant place in my heart. Whenever I spoke of her to people who didn't know her, I referred to her as my godmother. This was my way of trying to express the depth of our special relationship in a single word. I feel extremely grateful that she was a part of my life and I cherish every moment spent with her. ❤️
Gloria was a terrific neighbor and second mother. She has a heart of gold. She would tell many times of the first time we met. I was very young and just walked right into the house. She always looked out for me and when Bill and her moved I felt honored to be able to move into a home that has a lot of love in it. She came back a few times and stayed. My parents enjoyed when she made tacos for us. When I sold the house to a loving family I made sure to get the name tag of Mr and Mrs. William Eldridge that I kept up and send it to her. I will miss her so much but I will keep a piece of Gloria, Bill, and the family with me always.
My Mom (Almeda Sease Calhoun) cherished the friendship you & she shared. She always enjoyed visiting you in AZ after leaving my home in San Diego. You will always be loved & missed. Shelia (Shelly) Harris.
My thoughts and prayers are with Joy and her family. The world is a better place for her positive way of working with people - she touched the lives of so many. I worked with Gloria for many years at Cornell Cooperative Extension and learned so much about people from her. She adopted me as her mother. In fact she, her mother and I went to Toronto one weekend and attended a play. We shared a love of ice cream - often going to a local ice cream store on our lunch hour. One time, when we were conducting summer staff training for teen camp staff we had a morning and an afternoon workshop about 50 miles apart - no time for lunch. On the way , we stopped at an ice cream store and got banana splits for our lunch. In the middle of our afternoon workshop we both hit the sugar-low at the same time. Neither of us could function very well and never forgot that experience. We were lucky to have a good agency staff to pull us through. She also loved raspberry pie from a local Syracuse restaurant. I truly loved Gloria and know her new life in heaven with Bill will be full of love and pain free.
My condolences to the family of Sis Eldridge. She will be sadly missed. The Moore family will be praying for you. Don't forget that the Lord will never leave you not forsake you.
Gloria (Lady Rhino) is one of my BFF’s from way back when! ❤️ She always had a laugh, a smile and such insight about life. I will forever cherish our talks and the times we spent together. May she rest in God’s peace and love. 🙏🏾
Blessings and love to Gloria’s beautiful daughter Joy/family; her sisters and brothers, and extended family.
