Gloria Louise American was 89 years old when she departed this world. She was a resident of Canton, Georgia. She was born in Beaufort, North Carolina to Mrs. Thelma Pleasant on February 7, 1933. Gloria was raised in the admonition of the Lord by her adoring grandparents, Henry and Mary Williams, lovingly known as Mama and Daddy. She graduated from Queen Street High School, Class of 1951.
