This little poem is a heartfelt remembrance of Glina, not only as a former colleague but as a dear friend whose gentle warmth touched everyone around her. Though her journey has ended, the memory of her spirit remains, the laughter, friendship and the bonds she helped created. This small piece is offered for the enduring light she leaves behind.
A Light Remembered
Hong Kong, nineteen eighty-nine,
A first foreign step, a new challenge.
In Motorola’s Innovation halls,
Where semiconductors transformed,
Glina stood, simply warm and kind,
A steady calm amidst the waves.
She bridged the cultures, eased the strain,
Her kindness binding work with gain.
The years went on, our paths apart,
Yet memory held her in my heart.
Then, after decades, a message came,
Her voice still kind, her spirit the same.
In Singapore, with Kai by her side,
Chris and I shared laughter wide.
A fleeting lunch, a gift of grace,
The last time I would see her face.
Now she has gone, yet not away,
Her presence lingers day by day.
A colleague, a friend, a soul so true,
Glina, we honor and remember you.
