I just went on line to reconnect with Glenn because I have another video project.  I am so saddened to hear of his passing.   He documented my wedding in 1999 and has does a few projects of mine in between.  I always enjoyed his stories, knowing he lived a very full life.  I trust all those wonderful memories are bringing you peace.  I will always remember how kind he (and Karen) were to me.  It went beyond videoing my wedding.  Glenn was special, you just knew it.  He was warm, kind, patient, and confident yet cool.  And you could tell without a doubt he had a wonderful family that he adored.  I am so sorry for your loss.  I am grateful I have a little piece of his work in my living room cabinet.

Karen, Kari & Curt and families - We are so sorry for the loss of Glenn to this life on earth, but we celebrate with you that he has gone on to celebrate with his Savior! Glenn was always so kind and gentle, and he was an example to many of a humble servant of Christ! Our prayers are with you as navigate the days ahead!

I have great memories of growing up across the street from the Stockwell's. Glenn always was gracious and looked up to literally and figuratively. It was great being back in town and seeing Glenn now and then over the years as he was always pleasant to be around. I'm sure he was welcomed into heaven by a host of angels.

Glenn was such a caring, kind and wonderful friend. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to know him through C.A.S.A., which he faithfully served as a board member for almost 20 years. I will miss seeing his big smile, hearing his quirky jokes and the stories of his RV trips with Karen, the projects he did for his children and the precious time he spent with his grandchildren. Karen, you are loved, please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!
Friends for over 40 years … and now taking a short, warm, trip down memory lane remembering Glenn. Time or space does not allow us to recall the many adventures we have had with Glenn and Karen – but here are just a few.• New York - toured West Point, NYC and embarked on impromptu side trips to Niagara Falls, and lest we forget, a tour of the “Jello Museum”.• California - helped Glenn celebrate his 50th High School Class Reunion.• Spokane - attended Curt and Kelli’s wedding followed by trips to Mount St. Helens and Seattle in Stockwell’s motor home with Lloyd and Brenda. • Cancun – enjoyed sun, fun, parasailing and eating … highlighted with Glenn and Al capturing the “Pegs and Jokers International Championship” soundly defeating Karen and Pat.• Spencer Lake – relaxed by boating, floating and playing. We laughed with Glenn when he put salt on his cereal instead of sugar and verbalized loudly, “Blaaaah”! Still laughing!• Branson – traveled in the motor home with our Life Group to Larry and Karen Petty’s. Big excitement at the gas station when the fire department was called due to the gas tank leaking all over and possible fire hazard.• Louisville – attended the Quartet Convention. Traveled in the motor home, “Daybreak”. Folks thought Glenn was in a quartet due to the name on the side of their motor home.• Naples – won a bid at the CLC Silent Auction fund raiser for a week with Glenn and Karen, Jim and Karen Held and us. Plenty of pool time with emphasis on eating.• Life Group – cared, shared and prayed together for 30 years.• Dining with Glenn and Karen ALWAYS included KETCHUP!!!

Sending our love. You'll be close to our hearts and in our prayers.
Dear Karen, Kari and Curt, We would like to express our sorrow on the passing of your husband and father Glenn.
Our whole family was very blessed through the many years we knew Glenn. You were the first family we met when we moved to Rockford from McHenry in 1981 to enroll our kids in Christian Life Schools. Unbelievable that it was 40 years ago!
You all helped make our family feel welcome in our new community and schools at a time we were feeling uprooted and needing to adjust to a whole new normal.
Mark and Steve became good friends with Curt and spent much time at your house and ours for sleep overs as well as many other things. My sons were instrumental in driving Kari up the wall with all their antics too. The kids did school projects together, sonlight, skiing, skate boarding, and Glenn rough housed with them all, playing all kinds of games, etc. they had so much fun and have the best memories. Glenn was always a real encouragement and tease with the girls too. He was cheerful in all he did. We always have to smile whenever we talk or think about Glenn because he was the kind of person who was kind and positive and always doing something nice for someone, anyone who needed a hand. Both Glenn and Karen were leaders in Sonlight Ministries, but much more. They have real servants hearts and were quite a pair in making a difference in the lives of many people.
We are so thankful to God for the Godly example you have been through the years to us all. Glenn truly was a Prince among men — a man of impeccable integrity that so many folks admired. We are happy for him that he is now is in heaven and enjoying himself as he sees all he looked forward to throughout his life here. Our hearts go out to you All as you lay him to rest until you meet again. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Lovingly from the Fant family, Ginnie, Marcie, Stacie, Mark, Steve and Merrie.

What an amazing story and what an amazing life he lived! I met Glenn twice and the second time I met Karen and Glenn was when I was entering a difficult a new path in my life. They invited me and my then babies at the time over to see Curt and meet his wife. I was very welcomed in there home and so very happy to break bread with your family. Glenn was very kind, warm, and generous in his attention to my daughter's. I have always held Curt in high regard and though time has separate us, I always will cherish our time and friendship together! And I can recall readily the number of times I felt his parents influence on what a good man he was! That to me speaks volumes about Glenn's impact on the world! God Bless you all! You are all in my prayers! May his soul and all the souls of the faithfully departed rest in peace, Amen.
So sorry for your loss, Dean was such a help when I volunteered to do all the Music & Sermons at First Assembly. He touched so many lives and was a true friend to many!!
To Karen & Family-
My deepest condolences on the loss of an unbelievable husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was a man that followed God and wanted others to know Him. I met Glenn & Karen and their family while attending Loves Park Evangelical Free Church in the early 70's. They were such dear friends to many but especially to John & Maydelle Hoefling. The purpose of this memory is to share a conversation I had with John Hoefling when he called me last week to let me know that Glenn had gone to heaven. He was in tears and really hurting, knowing that he had lost a truly lifetime friend. He said that he had met Glenn & Karen in 1969 at Loves Park Free, close friends for over 50 yrs. He shared how much Glenn meant to him and how much he would miss him. It is clear that Glenn & Karen had invested deeply in their friendship with John & Maydelle and vice-versa. Glenn & Karen were routine visitors to see John & Maydelle when Maydelle was a patient at Fairhaven Nursing Center, always stopping down in the atrium on the 2nd floor to spend time with them, as John spent his days over the last few years visiting his wife every day for most of the day. Glenn & Karen always came. John (& Maydelle who is now in heaven w/ Glenn) would want you to know how much he cherished Glenn's (& Karen's) friendship) and know that he will be remembered as a faithful and dear friend. John would say to Glenn, "well done good and faithful servant, I will miss you brother."
I have so many wonderful memories of my Uncle Glenn. Growing up, our families would get together often, and I always looked forward to spending time with my Uncle Glenn, Aunt Karen, and my cousins Kari and Curt. Some of my earliest memories of Glenn- his deep voice, his dark hair, his El Camino, and his love of his family and his strong faith. I know my Grandpa George and Jo loved him very much, and he was always so good to my Aunt Karen. Their marriage was truly a match made in heaven.
Uncle Glenn always had the latest camcorder and video equipment, and he would record every family gathering. What a gift that was- it is so amazing to go back and watch those home movies to see us all grow through the years.
For the past 50 years, Christmas Eve was celebrated at Aunt Karen and Uncle Glenn's house on Devon Avenue. When we would arrive, Karen would be cooking and putting the last minute touches on everything, and Glenn would be faithfully helping her get ready. Uncle Glenn would say the blessing before we ate dinner. Those memories are so special to me and I will cherish them forever.
Uncle Glenn was a fantastic example of what a Christian man should be. He loved his family and his friends, and he was always willing to help others in need. He will be incredibly missed. As saddened as I am to say goodbye, I am comforted by the fact that he is in heaven. We love you, Uncle Glenn.
Karen, I'm saddened to hear of Glenn's passing, but know that in your time of grief you will be comforted by knowing he is with his Lord. You and your family will be in my prayers. Pam Thompson

Thank you Glen for your many years of great service to others and your God and savior Jesus Christ. I and so many will miss you ! Enjoy your New Home!! God willing will see you there. Ron Beyer Ever lasting BIG HUG !!
Directing the choir at Sunshine RV Park Church, I enjoyed Glenn’s enthusiasm, humor, and the ever present sparkle in his eye. He added not only to the bass section, but to the fellowship and fun. Special memories were his desire to sing “Noah found Grace” with choir back-up and his pretty pastel shirts. He was such a joy to be around and I know I (and I’m sure fellow choir members) will miss him very much. God must have had need of that magnificent spirit and bass voice!
Oh our hearts are saddened to hear of Glenn’s passing but at the same time, rejoicing that he fought the good fight and is certainly hearing a hearty “Well Done!”
My first memories of Glenn were in Sonlight
Ministries when i was a little girl - he had that big, booming voice but always displayed such kindness and care. He and Karen were always in my growing up and adult years as they maintained a close friendship with both my parents and my husband’s. Glenn made us a beautiful video recording of our rehearsal dinner and wedding in perfect “Glenn-style” in 1994. He interviewed all of our attendants and fam. That will always be a treasure to us and now even more!
We love your family and will continue to pray for God’s perfect peace and presence to be near.
Love, Deb (Ives) and Todd Fleury
We’re sad to hear of Glenn’s passing but we rejoice that he is with Jesus and we’ll go to be with him one day. We will miss his kind presence, servant’s heart. wonderful smile and dear friendship. We’re also grateful for Glenn’s many years of active service on the CASA board.

We have so many wonderful memories of him. We went to Kyrgyzstan together on a missions trip in 2002 and stayed at my parents’ apartment while there. Glenn missed American food so I doctored up a pizza with the local flat bread and cheese. He enjoyed it. When it came time for his bath, Glenn saw a big jar of water my mother kept in the bathroom and used it. Unbeknownst to him, the water he used was for drinking, that my mom had spent hours filtering and boiling. We all had a good laugh over that.

On another occasion, Glenn and I traveled around 6 hours to the other side of the country to visit an orphanage. On the way, our driver decided to take a bathroom break, which was basically an outhouse with no running water. A local man was selling fermented horse milk, a traditional Kyrgyz drink. Glenn decided he would try it. I tried to dissuade him, but he did try it. He made a grimace and promptly spit it out. When I see him in heaven, I’m going to remind him of that. Love and miss you Glenn!
Glenn was such a sweet soul and I’m glad I had the honor to know him my whole life. With love and condolences.
Glenn and Karen were the best mentors we could have asked for and Stan and I have many great memories in working with youth. He had quite the welcoming committee including the love of my life Stan. We know we will see them again! The world has been a better place for these Godly men, we miss them! God Bless Karen, Kari and Curt along with their families who have inherited a great legacy!
Glenn is the father of my very best friend, Kari. I met Karen and Glenn many years ago, finding them to be delightful people...of course! I have spent some time with them on numerous occasions, but remember one encounter fondly. A few years ago they had just started exploring the country in their RV. I happened to be at Kari’s in Iowa when they were visiting. Glenn was proud to give me a grand tour of their home away from home, sharing all of the repairs and upgrades he had done to make the house on wheels as nice as possible for Karen. He was so pleased to show off his work, and obviously loved the time they spent traveling together! 💞
Sending heartfelt condolences to the Stockwell & Boling family. I pray that you all feel God’s love, comfort & peace. May Glenn rest in eternal peace.
Love,
Lisa, Joe, & Brandon Currie
Hugs and prayers to the whole family. Glenn was a wonderful man who made a big difference in this world. What fun stories about his teen-age life. 😊. May your good memories be like a cozy blanket wrapping you up in the warmth of his love.
Glenn has always been in my life- started out as a neighbor and as I grew older he became a friend.

He adored Karen and boasted of Curt, Kari, and the grandkids. He was fun and silly and had a great laugh!

He was a father figure to me- especially after losing my own dad. He meant so much to my parents and family. I cry selfish tears of sadness because I will miss him dearly- but I also rejoice because he is with Our Savior- and all who have gone before him.
We met Glenn & Karen when they moved to 2405 Devon Ave. Loves Park, Il.
I went over to welcome them to our neighborhood and we have been friends ever since. He was always willingly to help Nick with a project like the shed they built. He could do anything and had the Lord at the center of his life. We will miss you Glenn.
Karen we missed you guys this year at Sunshine . God Bless you and your family. It has been a different year in Texas and we miss all the activities and friends.
