After coming across Clobberin’ Times through Raquel Briggs I came to know of Mike “Clobby” for the last few years. I also enjoyed his input, passion and love for classic Star Trek, especially giving his listeners a platform on his podcast. Each Saturday he would greet each person in the chat and then bid them goodbye. I would have loved to have met Clobby in real life someday at a convention. From TOS to Voyager, each Saturday I could tune in to his show was a delight. Sometimes Mike even allowed me on the show and we were able to talk which gave me joy and an outlet to discuss classic Star Trek in a safe space. I’ll miss you forever Mike and am so grateful for the friend you were to me. God Bless the Alonzo family…and as Clobby would say Live Long And Prosper 🖖🏻 

Mike has been a huge part of my life for over 40 years. I live in Las Vegas but every time I came home, we got together for food, and usually talked into the late hours of the night.
The last time was in April. We had lunch at Parrain’s I had gumbo and a shrimp po-boy, Mike had a burger (no lettuce or tomato). We talked for a couple of hours and he played with my daughter, and they fell in love. Just the other day, she asked if we were going to see uncle Mike. While I’m so grateful that I got to see him one last time, I’m also heartbroken that it was the last time. Boldly go, my friend. I love you so much.
