I am so sorry for your loss. It may have been time, but you can never be ready to loose a loving father. He was one of my heros. The length and strength of his life is an inspiration to us all. He was a great nieghbor. May he rest in peace.

Grandpa! I was only in Tuscon for a short summer, but you welcomed me into your home like family. I remembered being so impressed by your sharpness, your good health, and most of all your kindness. I still have fond memories of driving up to your house with Aurora & Jess to play cards. Miss you, and rest in peace.

So sorry to hear of Glenn's passing. My sincere condolences to all of Glenn's extended family. My mother, Jean Holmes (Goodwin) was Glenn's first cousin. We got to know Glenn and Stella when they travelled to British Columbia several years ago and attended a Holmes / Goodwins family reunion at the Bowron Lakes Lodge in the wilds of BC. I feel privileged to have gotten to know them. We always referred to him as our uncle who lives in Arizona. We too will miss our Uncle Glenn who I hope is currently in heaven having tea with my Mom.

To know he was always surrounded by people who loved him ! May all his loved ones cherish this spirit and have the strength to go through the tough time, lots of love and prayers from Adi, Parul, Kanak and irah !

Somehow, I am certain that having Glenn as my grandpa made me the luckiest granddaughter on the planet. I was truly loved by him, and he was truly loved by me. I have countless memories of us spending special times and just plain old ordinary times together. We traveled the world, visiting places like Turkey and Paris, and took summer trips to the subdivision in Pflugerville – just to name a few. He taught me how to drive in those Texas fields when I was very young, and I remember shooting off fireworks on the Fourth of July in that same field. When I fell behind in math in the 8th grade, he spent every day after school tutoring me for an entire month until I caught up. He always believed in me, and his belief was unwavering, even when my own faltered. More than anything else, though, he made me feel loved, and I knew what unconditional love felt like because of him.
I will miss you forever, Grandpa.
Your granddaughter,
Terra Sky

Our sincere sympathy to all Glenn’s family. My husband Allan and I, Naomi, so enjoyed meeting and talking with him at the 200th. Higginson Reunion in 2017 in Vankleek Hill, Ontario. The world is a better place because Glenn was in it for 100 years. Love to all the family. RIP Glenn.
