Glenn's obituary

Glenn T. Agaton, a beloved husband and father, passed away on December 15, 2024, at his home in Monterey Park, California after a courageous battle against cancer. Born on October 23, 1973, in Inglewood, California, Glenn's beaming spirit and creativity touched the lives of many. Known for his lively sense of humor and dimpled smile, Glenn was a joy to be around. You couldn't help but laugh along with him.

Utilizing his art degree, Glenn dedicated himself to a career in clothing and textile design, where he blended creativity with functionality. In addition to his professional, artistic pursuits, he was an avid comic book collector. Glenn found delight in the colorful stories and characters -- drawing inspiration for the characters he created and penned/penciled on paper.

In addition to his artistic pursuits, Glenn had a variety of other interests that painted the canvas of his life. He loved to dance, especially salsa and played the conga drums with church music groups. His love for exotic plants and fish reflected his appreciation for the beauty of nature, and was well known within this community. Before starting his family, Glenn enjoyed the thrill of group rides on his Ruckus, exploring the streets of Los Angeles. Although he was born Filipino at birth, he embraced his wife's Hispanic culture by learning to speak Spanish and loved to cook both Filipino and Latin-inspired dishes.

Glenn's greatest pride and joy came from his role as a devoted husband and father. He leaves behind his loving wife, Sara Coronilla, along with his children: David Coronilla Agaton, Daniela Coronilla Agaton, and Christopher Mendoza. Glenn's legacy also includes his parents, Odilon R. and Gloria M. Agaton, and his sister, Annette (James) DeYoung. He was preceded in death by his mother, Norma R. Agaton.

The community will have the opportunity to honor Glenn’s memory during visitation and funeral services. Visitation will take place on January 9, 2025, from 5 PM to 9 PM at Forest Lawn- Cypress - Patriots Chapel in Cypress, California, with a vigil starting at 7 PM. Mass will be held on January 10, 2025, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Artesia, California, at 10 AM, followed by burial at Forest Lawn- Cypress.

Glenn T. Agaton will be remembered for his artistic talents, warm heart, and the indelible love he shared with his family. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, creativity, and cherished moments that will remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
