Glen's obituary
It is with a heavy heart that we report the passing of Mr. Glenn Freeman, a remarkable man of great talent and warmth. Born on the 16th of September, 1951, Glenn lived a fulfilling and passionate life until his ultimate journey on the 14th of April, 2023.
Glenn will forever be cherished by his loving family and friends - both birth and chosen. He leaves behind his daughters, Kristus Ratliff, Alyson Bolstad Spillane, Andrea Freeman, Mandy Bolstad and his sons, Vincent Freeman, Jesse Miller, Ian Bolstad and numerous grandchildren. Glenn had the unfortunate experience of bidding goodbye to his parents, Doris Ruth Wilson and Thomas Freeman, earlier in his life.
An individual of immense creativity, Glenn dedicated his life to his artwork as a street performer in Seattle, WA and San Diego, CA. His passions included writing original songs and poems, adding a lot of depth and richness to the artform. Glenn also found solace in visual art, expressing his thoughts and emotions through drawing and painting. Not just a creative being, Glenn had a unique penchant for forming genuine connections with people, finding joy in the stories he shared and received.
Throughout his travels, Hawaii held a special place in Glenn's heart. Encountering life with an open heart and mind, he strongly believed in living life to the fullest and enjoying every moment. He advocated for the sharing of love and joy, shaping his life around these principles.
True to his vibrant spirit, one of Glenn's proudest moments was hosting a concert in Seattle in 2019. His music touched countless hearts, and his influence in the Seattle and San Diego communities remains unforgettable.
As we mourn the loss of Glenn Freeman; musician, artist, and an inspiration to all, we take solace in the indelible mark he has left on all our lives. His legacy of love, joy, and music will continue to resonate through his family, friends, and all those who had the chance to meet him.
