Gladys's obituary
Gladys went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on September 15, 2020. She was born on September 25, 1930 to Walter and Rebebecca Rupp. She is preceeded in death by her parents and her brother Harold Rupp. Gladys leaves behind her husband Bert Lanquist and her two children, Cheryl and Paul.. On Cheryl's side she leaves behind, Cheryl and her husband Frank Long. along with their children, Jason, Joy (Storey), Joshua, Zachary and Faith. On Paul's side she leaves behind, Paul and wife, Leslie, Debbie Lanquist and children, Rayanna, Bert and Scott, 4 great grandchildren.
Gladys attended Brentwood Church of the Nazarene in Bakersfield during the time of raising her family.
Gladys taught Sunday School and worked on bringing children to church thru the Sunday School bus ministry.
Gladys worked as a keypunch operator when Hoppers was around in Bakersfield, California. After she left Hoppers she worked at a local bank in Bakersfield for awhile. Gladys loved to go trout fishing and camping in the summertime. . Later Gladys and Bert moved to Madras, Oregon to live with their son there. Madras is where she passed away at. Gladys would have turned 90 years old on September 25, 2020.
