Gilbert G. Barclay II

June 28, 1936 – April 10, 2024

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Gilbert George Barclay.

Gill was a beloved husband, father and grandfather who brought joy and kindness to everyone he met.

He will be remembered for his beautiful artwork, passion for pickleball, and his love for his family.

He will also be remembered for his lasting impact on children through education in New Hampshire, Maine, and North Carolina.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Angela Nora Barclay who he loved dearly. Gill and Angela had a beautiful family including Sean and his wife Sondra, Brett and his wife Maria, Todd and his partner Kelly, Ryan and his partner Angelyn. Gill and Angela had the deepest of love and pride for their 7 Grandchildren: Julia, Olivia, Timothy, Gabriel, Maximilian, Kelly, and Kieran.

Gill’s family would like to extend an invitation to attend a memorial service in his honor at Brunswick Funeral Services on April 18, 2024, at 12:00 at 5229 Ocean Hwy West, Shallotte, NC.
