I am just learning of Gill’s passing today and am so very sorry.  We have been friends for quite some time as he was my pickleball buddy. We have kept in touch via email ever since he moved South and both being former educators had a lot in common.  He was such a remarkable gentleman and artist; I so enjoyed his company, sense of humor and  valued friendship. I will treasure the several paintings I have of his.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences. He loved all of his family so much.

He will be sorely missed.

Joyce from Maine

My wife Nancy and I were very sorry to hear that Gill had passed away.  We are from Maine and met him on the Pickleball court in North Myrtle Beach several years ago.  We enjoyed his company in games and at several lunches over the years.  We are pleased that Gill made us the recipients of one of his oil paintings which graces our home now.  Please accept our condolences for your loss.  He will be missed by many.
We shared a lot of laughs on our porch for "happy hour", "Mr Gill" was a great neighbor and we will miss him for sure. He loved his sons and their families so very much. Many times he mentioned how much he missed his Angela. Thinking of all of you at this sad time. Debi & Bud

— with Many beautiful pieces of Gill’s art that I am fortunate to have.
We all loved the Barclay family from our time as neighbors in NH and later at Ocean Isle Beach. We know how much Gill cherished his family. May God help you boys and your families at this difficult time.  I am sure that John is there welcoming Gill into his new adventure. Love always, Glenda Scott, Chad and Johnsye

I remember Gil as being a deep thinking and compassionate gentleman. His love for his family, friends, art and sport always shining through.

I am grateful for the time I shared with him and Angela in Wilmington, and then on a later visit to Maine, to see Gil once more.

Deepest condolences to Todd, Ryan, Sean and Brett, who loved their Father deeply. And also to the rest of the family and grandchildren.

Much love,

Simon and Natalie

Ryan - you and your family are in my thoughts during this time of  loss. Your dad sounds like he was really someone special.
