Gia (as I called her) was my best friend when I was 13/14 years old as a student at SCPA in 1980s! We would get ourselves into some crazy shenanigans and then laugh and laugh and laugh for hours on end! Pop rocks, Del Mar Fair, The Beatles, Disneyland, bus rides to SCPA, thrifting for vintage clothes, talking about boys! We shared so many fun teenage memories! More than that though, Gia was a true friend and I always felt seen and safe whenever I was in her presence! She helped me through some tough teen times for sure! She had the most contagious laugh, warm smile, and kind eyes! 
We reconnected for a brief moment a few years back via the telephone! It was like time stood still! She sounded exactly the same and still made me laugh!  
Gia made an imprint on my heart that will stay with me forever! Rest well my sweet friend!!!
