Dwayne and Denise, my heart goes out to you. Take comfort in that Giana was an amazing person. In her short life, she achieved and accomplished more than so many. I know she was a role model and inspiration. I know, too, that she was a part of a caring, loving, and amazing family. My heartfelt sympathy to you.

Giana, I am TRULY going to miss your huge smile, our long random talks and sharing cute paraphernalia! We were so excited to be going through the CPM program TOGETHER and now it just will not be the same. I will cherish every conversation we had!


To the Hutton family and close friends, I send an abundance of prayers and healing during this unimaginable time. I pray you find peace in knowing how loved Giana was near and far and what a beautiful woman you raised and shared with us! I am grateful to have known her, thank you!

I am incredibly sad over the loss of Dwayne and Denise's daughter and Joy's sister. She was brilliant and beautiful and brought light to all of us.

In our lives, we have people who we get to know and love and they are only in our lives for a short period of time. Giana was that person for me. We worked together at Reading is Fundamental in Pittsburgh for about a year. The lasting impression she left on me was that her light was so BRIGHT. She stood out in all the best ways and it always inspired me. I may not have known her for a long time, but she left a positive and loving impact on my life and I'll always be grateful that we had that time together.

The first time I met Gina, was at her parents home. She and had recently received her high school letter jacket from Homewood/Flossmoor High. I was very impressed with this pretty and well mannered young lady, who I knew was on the path to something great. The last time I saw Gina, it was after a church service two years ago; she was accompanied by her mother Denise and her sister Joy. Gina had become the beautiful black butterfly that had been her destiny. We will miss you Gina, you have spread your wings to fly once again, but in a heavenly direction.
