Pat lived every moment of every day. She was a big hearted woman with a zest for life. ย I canโ€™t believe itโ€™s been a year since her passing.๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–
Mrs pat is unforgettable mother ,and grand mother. Even though Mrs pat has passed away, her legacy and good work will always long live in our memories. Mrs pat is a kind, respectful woman, who treated everyone equally .Mrs pat goes her way in order to please everyone, and liked to help everyone.Mrs pat was mother to all. Mrs Pat was a strong woman; even during the time of her illness, Mrs pat took shower by herself, and never asked for help. Mrs pat was a tidy and beautiful person .Mrs pat was a cheerful person ,who likes to make playful jokes to make people laugh. Mrs pat and I liked to watch judge Judy , Steve Harvey and 25 words as our favorite tv shows, when ever I came to help her. Mrs pat was kind person who treated my kids as her children , she send cookies and candies to my children, and encouraged my kids to work hard in school. Mrs Pat treated me as her daughter.whenever Mrs Pat ordered stuff for herself, she ordered gifts me also.Mrs Pat loved her children to death, and wished well to all her children as as she was passing away. Mrs Pat is a blessed and accomplished woman. Mrs Pat has passed away peacefully, and she will never be forgotten, she will always be remain in our hearts. Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life ,which God has promised to those who love him. James 1:12

Pat was loving & generous. Lee Perkins & we would get together to play scrabble almost every weekend & then share dinner. Pat was funny & caring. I have celiac disease & this past year she brought the most beautiful birthday cake I ever had. I will miss her more than any words can say. Mary Ann Beall

As often as we could Pat our friend Lee Perkins and Mary Ann and I played Scrabble and ate dinner together. Sometimes at our house and sometimes at a picnic table in the Friendshouse courtyard. Pat was a sharp player but not above trying to add some new words to the English language. Until the end nothing kept Pat down. She would go to the hospital into rehab and back home again and bounce back with a smile. She was feisty , took no guff and very loving. We loved her and miss her terribly! Ray Bridge

Friends House really misses Pat, especially those who knew her on C Wing before we moved to the big apartment building in the sky, HQL. She always had a cherry word for us, no matter how she was feeling. She played mean games of scrabble and bridge and wore colorful hats and scarves. My favorite story is during construction last year we were all stressed out and fed up with the noise and mud and disruption. One of her favorite people, Bill The Cook, was grilling hotdogs in the courtyard outside her apt. The dining room was filled with construction workers who had been working on it for months and months and we, the residents, were forced to dine in the cramped quarters of the auditorium next door and getting restless. Pat took our hearts and bundled them into her own action: she marched into the courtyard and grabbed a big tray of roasted hot dogs with buns and condiments and walked it into the construction-site dining room where the workers were. "Here you are!" she said, "you're working much to slow and we want this finished up. Have this snack and then get back to work!" The cook was following behind her trying to get the stolen food but it was "too late" and the workers relished it. That was her - find us in a pickle and make it fun and funny. much love to her memory and her family. - Loraine, from Friends House

I had the honor of being with my mom when she left this world. She was loved and comfortable. She was surrounded by her daughters and sons. She was listening to her Chieftans Irish music. She loved her family dearly. When she lost the ability to speak, she still managed to blow kisses and mouth "Love You" . The nurses at Advanced Nursing Ruth, Katie, and Fatima were like family. They treated mom with love and respect.
Thanks you to all my cousins and the "HUB" Aunt Peg for being there with us on this journey. We could not have done it without you.
