Background
The Dr. Gerardo Lopez-Mena Scholarship Fund will support a student from the El Monte district who wishes to pursue pre-med or STEM education in college. It is named after Dr. Gerardo Lopez-Mena who devoted his career to Latino community health, and who cherished his El Monte roots.
