Geraldine's obituary
Geraldine Ann Graham Stout
May 2, 1940 – May 15, 2025
Geraldine Ann Graham Stout, 85, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2025, at her daughter’s home in Blythewood, South Carolina, following a courageous battle with neuroendocrine bladder cancer and kidney disease. Born on May 2, 1940, in Bayonne, New Jersey, Geraldine lived a life defined by love, devotion to family, and quiet strength. She was the beloved wife of the late James Mansfield Stout and a devoted mother to her daughter, Jennifer Ann Daugherty, and son-in-law, Kevin Daugherty, of Blythewood, SC. Geraldine was a proud and loving grandmother to Zachary Gabert of Okinawa, Japan; Nicholas Gabert and his wife, Rachel, of Altus, Oklahoma; Jackson Gabert and his wife, Aubrey, of Kathleen, Georgia; and Kate Daugherty and Ryan Daugherty of Blythewood, SC. Geraldine was preceded in death by her sisters, Evelyn Wanda Zielinski and Carolyn Kozak, and her brothers, Everett Graham, George Graham, Robert Graham, and Jack Graham. She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Fabian of Boston, and by many nieces and nephews whom she adored and with whom she shared countless wonderful memories. The family would also like to express their deep appreciation to her kind and generous next-door neighbors, Rick and Sharon Shirley, who brought her a delicious dinner every night—often lovingly delivered by their grandsons, Kain and Link, who will always hold a special place in her heart. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her unwavering dedication to those she loved, and the legacy of kindness she leaves behind. Geraldine's life was a quiet testament to strength, grace, and the enduring power of family and community. A private service will be held to honor her life. In keeping with her generous nature, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, you consider performing a kind act in her memory.
