*Geraldine May Avery*

**May 3, 1929 – September 4, 2024**

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Geraldine May Avery, who passed away peacefully on September 4, 2024, at the age of 95. Geraldine was born on May 3, 1929, and lived a life filled with love, compassion, and dedication to her family and community.

Geraldine will be fondly remembered for her warm smile, generous spirit, and unwavering strength. She touched the lives of many and was always there to lend a helping hand or a kind word when needed. Her legacy of kindness and love will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

She is survived by her loving family, who will forever cherish her memory. Though she has left this world, her spirit remains a guiding light for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

A wake will be held on September 5, 2024 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Maloney’s Funeral Home. A funeral service to honor Geraldine's life will be held the following morning on September 6, 2024, at Our Lady Peace Church in Hicksville, NY.  Burial at Calverton Cemetary. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate the life of a woman who was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
