I’m sorry that I was unaware Dr. Poticha had passed away. I was a patient of his in Parker for many years.

It happened I just was googling his name. I wanted to get in touch to consult him because the next doctor I had following his retirement, just retired, and I’m having a hard time finding another endo in Colorado. I was very sorry to have read such sad news.

I was probably one of his very last patients. The last time I saw him as his patient, I gave him some Michigan sportswear. He was ecstatic!

Dr. Poticha was an awesome doc! In fact, he was the best of the six endocrinologists I have had treat me throughout my life. He cared the most, was always interested to hear what you had to say, he really listened, and always responded. If he didn’t have the answer on hand, he’d call you back and let you know. It was a great time when you were still able to talk to the doctor when you needed to.

I had doctor visits every two weeks for treatments over the many years. He often welcomed me into his office to chat about my health. I work in pro sports (mostly football), and at that time had a show on ESPN radio. He often listened to my broadcast. At almost every office chat we ended up in a discussion about college football, of course, mostly about Michigan! Many fun memories!

Dr. Poticha took the best care of me and it was a privilege to have had him as my doctor, and my friend.

To his family, please accept my heartfelt condolences. He is greatly missed. May his memory be for a blessing and may he rest in peace.

To the Poticha families, I am so sad to see that Dr. Poticha died and I didn't know it at the time. I would have loved attending his service.
My mother, Virginia Hearne, and I were both his patients. He was such a character and we both adored his style and wisdom.
When I was pregnant with my twins in 1987, I was stuck at Swedish Hospital for 5 weeks. He brought me the novel Lonesome Dove to pass the time, which became one of my 2 favorite novels of all time, as well as a favorite movie.
He left an amazing footprint on this world. He enjoyed chatting about his 3 colorful kids during appts.
I miss knowing he's just "across town."
Sincerely,
Sally Hearne (Hancock) Carbone

I'll always remember Gerry's sunny smile and warm, heartfelt laugh. He was a wonderful, caring man.

Gerald “attending” Stan at his Wedding.
So sorry to hear about Jerry. Stan was a fellow Imperial with him; they were fraternity brothers at the University of Michigan. And most important of all, he was a groomsman at our wedding.
Stan and I send our heartfelt condolences.

I was a colleague in practice in South Denver with Gerry and considered Gerry as highly respected Physician and was a Doctor's Doctor; he had a great sense of humor and loved to have fun; he and Myrna traveled extensively and enjoyed their getaway vacation home in Mexico. I agree, he will be missed because he was loved by many.

The last words my Dad ever spoke to me, thanks to a phone call from my stepmom, were "I love you Son, you've been in my thoughts." It was the greatest final gift I could ever be given.
