My mentor, my uncle, my inspiration and sometimes my helpful enemy. It's not all going to get put down here. As a 6 yr old.. I remember hiding his cigarettes in the freezer.. and him picking up my cat by it's tail. (enemy). As I aged he became very interesting with his knowledge and his willingness to help me understand how to fix stuff. As a preteen there were fun family gatherings in Bonsail, staying up late .. playing cards with the adults, watching Chrissy perform Hula Dancing and Micheal playing the piano. Then there was the time Gerry fixed my BajaBug after I ripped off the front end.. That was after he pretended the lift was out of control and I thought the bug was hitting the roof of the car port... .It was around that time he went to the DMV for me and threatened to b*&b the place cuz they would not title my car... .. at least the was what the told me what happen.. . might of been a phase of his at the time.. At some point I talked to him about investments.. he said it was not a good idea.. and he was right.. . too much to download here. but an amazing person.. uncle.. that help shape the good parts of me, that I carry on my life daily.

I really enjoyed getting to know you these last few years. I’m going to miss sitting with you in the room and listening to your stories about Lakeview and your life. Plus I love seeing your face light up after I brought you some smoked salmon. Rest well and I’ll see you again.

I could write pages and pages of my cherished memories with my hero, but I’ll sum it up by stating that it was a privilege to have such a loving, supportive, old-school protector, provider and role model for me, my siblings, my son Tristan and my step-daughter Lyric. The best compliment I could ever get is that I am like him in any way. He was a true legend.
