Gerald was born on a ranch in Lakeview, Oregon in 1934 to parents Alvin and Mary; Sisters Audry, Donna and Helen and brothers William and Maurice. Their grandfather immigrated from Norway and instilled the Norwegian Work Ethic in his family. Without electricity or running water, they worked the land and actually walked almost a mile in the snow to get to the school bus. Wanting to expand his horizons Gerald enlisted in the Air Force …
