Jerry's obituary
Gerald “Jerry” Becker peacefully entered into the arms of his Lord and Savior, while at home surrounded by loved ones, on June 7, 2024. He was born in Milwaukee, WI on November 24, 1956, to Donald and Janet (Schisel) Becker. He moved to the Cincinnati area as a child and had lived near Leesburg, OH for the past 12 years. Despite moving to Ohio, Jerry was a life-long Green Bay Packers fan! He was known to many as “Doc” or “Mr. Fix-It.” He will be remembered for his kindness, analytical mind, integrity, sense of humor, and problem-solving skills. Jerry had a passion for helping others, being a life-long learner (mostly self-taught), and having the ability to fix anything, especially electronics. He was also an active member of the HAM radio community, with the call sign of WA8R.
Jerry courageously fought a battle against neuroendocrine cancer for almost 9 months, which ultimately caused him to leave us much too soon.
Jerry will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and cherished friend. His vast knowledge, humor, and quick wit will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He is survived by his loving wife, Norma, and his children Michael Becker, Rachel (John) Herbst, Julie Becker, Kyley (Adam) Ogard, Lea Kromer, and Adam (Shannon) Ogard. He was a loving and proud grandpa of six. He is also survived by his sister, Lois (Joe) Brueggemann, brothers-in-law Keith (Pat) Mathiesen and Dale (Margie) Mathiesen, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. He will be deeply missed by his best bud and faithful dog, Fritz. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Donald, Gregory, and Jeffery, as well as his sister, Susan.
A Celebration of Life to remember and share the blessings Jerry brought to our lives will be held at a future date. Please come with memories, pictures, and stories to share. Information will be shared as soon as it’s known at https://everloved.com/life-of….

A special thanks to Dr. Slobodan Stanisic and the oncology team, the staff at The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, as well as the staff from Ohio's Hospice for their amazing and compassionate care. And, as a final farewell, just as Jerry would leave the treatment center each time, he would stand up and proclaim, “God Bless You All!”
