Georgina “Gina” Smith, 69, of Del Norte, CO, passed away on November 11th from congestive heart failure. She was predeceased by her dedicated husband, Edward “Ted” Welling, earlier this year.

Gina started her life overseas in the United Kingdom, and after the birth of her daughter, she resettled in Amarillo,  Texas, where she had her son. Gina was a fixture for many years as a server at Paradise Too.  In the early 90s, her adventurous spirit led Gina to Marble Canyon, Arizona. She worked at both Lee's Ferry and Marble Canyon Lodge and was a friendly familiar face to many regular travelers. This is where Gina met Ted and about 20 years later they moved to Colorado. Gina will be remembered by the many close friends she made on her life's journey.

At a later date, Gina and Ted’s ashes will be spread near the Grand Canyon, where they met and spent their first two decades together. No services will be held.

Gina is survived by her daughter Clair Devers & husband Michael Devers & her son Brent Smith & wife Crystal Smith.
