Georgette's obituary
Georgette is survived by three sisters, Carrol Pine & brother-in-law Terry, Lorraine Hart & brother-in-law Tim, Sherron Wilde, and brother Walter “Buttons” White & sister-in-law Linda. Georgette also leaves four children, Barbara Stygar-Gibbs, Desiree Stygar & fiancé John, Martin Stygar & fiancée Mary, and Daniel Stygar & fiancée Karen. She also had several grandchildren and great-grandchildren that she adored: Danielle & Tony Arbolino, Jennifer Mancini, Nichole Mancini, Cpl. Tyler Zimmerman, Taylor Zimmerman, Faith, Aria, and the soon-to-be Baby Girl Arbolino. Georgette also remained in contact with many of her nieces and nephews. She loved them all and would stay in touch through birthdays, celebrations, and other happy occasions.
She was a proud American who loved her country and the American Flag—a true patriot who taught us to stand up for what you believe in at all costs. She marched down Pennsylvania Ave. in Washington D.C. to support the Vietnam Veterans who were returning home from a very, at the time, controversial war. She was a wonderful mother, sister, aunt, and friend who was incredibly loyal and always available when called upon. She put everyone in her life before herself without hesitation—she was everyone’s angel.
Georgette lived a life focusing on the good in both people and animals. She was an animal lover with many dogs and cats in her life over the years. Rest assured, she now resides at the Lord’s side with plenty of others lined up to see her like her parents, Charlie, sisters Lonnie & Carrolyn (Carrolyn grabbing her arm and telling her she’ll show her around), grandparents (Ma), nephew Glenn, aunts & uncles (Uncle Harold & Aunty Mae), many friends (her best friend Emily) and pets to enjoy and laugh with as they’ll have much catching up to do!
May our thoughts and remembrances of Georgette be as colorful and as long as her memory always was. We’ll miss her many stories and jokes.
Some recent keepsake words from Georgette’s notes:
God bless you every day of your life.
The nicest place to be is in someone else’s thoughts.
The safest place to be is in someone’s prayers and the very best place to be is in the hands of God.
A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date. She loved Elvis Presley but this song is also perfect: When I’m Gone Throw Me a Party, by Rita Wilson
Georgette lived her life always giving whether it was to lend an ear, food, or shelter along with a variety of charities. Some of her favorite charities were the Popcorn Park Zoo, Forked River, NJ & DAV - Disabled American Veterans.
