I can think of two moments that come to mind right away. I have known Georgette since I was a little girl. I remember going to a birthday party for Mike Dodge when she lived in an apartment in downtown Foxboro so that brings us back a very long ways. In later years she visited Florida a number of times to visit with her long time friend Estella Nutting (my mother-in-law) whom everyone called Nana. We were at a restaurant on St. George island and it was a rare event for Georgette to have an alchoholic drink but Butch (my husband) asked her if she would like a Mike's hard lemonade. She very innocently said "sure, that sounds good". We continued to eat and a while later she went "JEEPERS CROW"!!! What was in that lemonade!!! She obviously had a buzz she didn't expect and was giggling all over the place. Such a funny moment. Gosh I miss her and Nana both!!! The other time was years later after Nana had passed away and we were about to visit Bill and Donna Nutting in Augusta, Maine. We invited her to go along for the ride to visit them as well. That was the night that Bill and Donna's big german shepard decided to hop into bed with her. LOL, It was a single sized bed and That German shepard was a huge dog but a "pussy cat" of a dog....just being friendly. Once again the giggles started and she laughed and laughed. So many fun memories of this wonderful sweet, funny lady. We have always thought of her as more of a beloved aunt than just a friend. Love and miss her so much <3!
Our hearts are deeply saddened at the passing of this sweet, lovely lady whom all of our family adored. She and our "Nana" were constant companions before we moved to Florida and they both enjoyed each others company so very much and Georgette often visited for many years. Before leaving Foxboro you rarely saw one out and about without the other being close by. We both have many funny moments that we treasure and the world is a sadder place without her sweet "Jeepers Crow" remark. Love and miss you Georgette. Fly high with the angels, you and Nana enjoy your coffee and shopping excursions. <3
