Woody's obituary
George William kaaimohola Woodward sr “Woody” was a great husband , a father ,a wonderful grandfather and a great friend. He left this world loved on April 17, 2022,Easter Sunday, at age 78.
He was born to his late mother, Frances Kehahilileinani Benbrook, and late father Joseph Kamakini Woodward Jr in Honolulu Hawaii 1943. He was was preceded in death by his brother Easter David Liwobi Woodward , and his sister Frances Marjorie Houipauaokealalani who he dearly loved.
Survived by his dearly loved wife and best friend Candy Marie Woodward, brother Joseph Kamakini Woodward III (Jane) , his children Sherry Ann Stowell , George Woodward Jr, Chuck Woodward (Linda) , Nalani B Hightower, Gerene AhSing (Roby), John Kelli (Cara), step children and whom he loved as his own Shelly Shackelford (Donnie), and Dean Rupert Jr (Tara).
Woody did many things , he served our country as an MP in Berlin , he was a truck driver , he retired as an Electrician. He liked picnics and movies. He loved to be outside and mostly he loved conversation ,stories and food he loved a good burger.
Woody was a caring man who dearly loved his family, if you ever met him even in passing he held you in his heart. Woody was a fan of pranks and loved to hear your thoughts as he’d often say “a penny for your thoughts” although he never paid up on that offer. So long as he was around family he was happy.
Woody went happy and he lived a beautiful life as he often told us , he cherished every memory.
If you asked Woody what the meaning of life is , his response was :
“Ohana, you know what that means? Ohana means family”
