George Wicklund, 85, of Dearborn Heights, MI, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 26, 2022.

George was born in 1937 to Antoinette and Judge George Wicklund in Dearborn Heights, Mi.  After graduating from Lowrey High School, he went on to receive his bachelors and masters in education from Wayne State University. He also received a builder’s license, built his family’s first home in Dearborn Heights, and completed many other construction projects. He was an elementary educator for Westwood School District for 30 years and was the President of his teachers’ union.  He managed his family’s mobile home park, Riverside Properties, in Dearborn Heights for several decades. George was an avid golfer and desired to go on to the big golf course in the sky after his passing.  He also loved nature, exploring the woods, and traveling to the Upper Peninsula and out west. He was a very kind, loving, and supportive father to his three daughters. He is survived by his daughters, Kimberly Biondo, Laura Wicklund, and Karen Danziger: his brother, Eric Wicklund: and his eight grandchildren, Kaleb, Jacob, Claudia, Chloe, Nathan, Carson, Colin, and  Alessandra . His family requests that donations be made to National Forest Foundation at nationalforests.org in lieu of flowers or memorial gifts.
