George's obituary
George Soto, born to Haydee Adrovet and Jorge Soto on December 23, 1952, in New York, NY, passed away on August 6, 2024, in Bronx, NY at the age of 71. A graduate of Morris High School, George served in the US Navy from 1971 to 1972, embracing the rigorous demands and camaraderie of military life. He embarked on a successful career as a salesman, where his persuasive skills and charismatic personality shone brightly.
George was a man of many passions, including traveling, hunting, motorcycling, and skiing. His love for the outdoors was paralleled by his enjoyment of laying on the beach, working on his tan, and frequent travels to Puerto Rico. His adventurous spirit took him to motorcycle events in Daytona, Key West, and Sturgis, where he forged lifelong friendships. Each November, he could be found in upstate New York, dressed in full camo ready for deer hunting with Tio Nando and friends.
He will be remembered as a tough yet kind-hearted individual, who lived life to the fullest, loved fiercely, and spoke his mind without regard. Preceded in death by his parents, Haydee and Jorge, his sister Gladys, and his brother George. ย George leaves behind a loving family: his children, Melissa, Gavin, Megan, and Ashley; three grandchildren; a great-grandson and another great-grandchild on the way. He is also survived by a brother, a sister, and numerous nieces and nephews who will miss him deeply.
