Its hard to believe he is not here on earth anymore. His influence is still felt in my life. It will be hard to go to the temple and not have him there. I am grateful for this wonderful man and his family. I will always love them all.
Beautiful website. It is so helpful to be able to reflect after a year. I am a better person because of him.
love always

I made a slideshow of my brother's life. The lyrics are Hungarian because he loves the Hungarian people that make up our heritage.

Our family will forever love Scott Sintay. My children were all loved by him and I am forever grateful. Each one of them was encouraged and believed in while they were in the forte show choir. That is a gift we will always cherish. It was always about the kids for him. I am deeply grateful that we got to know him.

Nicki and Family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. We know the Holy Ghost will comfort you as the Savior promised.

Scott became a dear friend immediately as we began our service in the Columbia River Temple. His counsel, wisdom and support were consistent throughout the time we knew him. He blessed many lives, especially ours. We came to love him dearly for his Christ-like service as temple recorder.

We have no doubt that his service on the other side of the veil will be just as significant. Please know our love and prayer continue with you.
Scott is my cousin. The last time I saw Scott was last summer at a family wedding party. We hadn’t seen or spoken with each other in over 13 years, which was at my dad’s memorial. I wasn’t sure if he would remember the conversation we’d had then or much of anything that was going on with me and my life, how open he would feel like being etc.
But he and Nicki were very open and enthusiastic about seeing me and we had a great visit and I was so glad because I love them both so much. During those 13 years, my family had been through trauma, divorce, more trauma, a few moves and finally a temple marriage and sealing - which was a first for me.

Just before we left the party, Scott stopped me and said, I just want you to know how exciting and inspiring it has been to watch you on Facebook and see your life transformed moving away from a difficult relationship and situation to a beautiful place.
I had no idea that he was even aware. I felt so blessed to be seen and heard by someone I respected so much. I was grateful that he allowed himself to be vulnerable enough to open up and say what he did in that moment. I would not have been surprised if he was following a prompting from the spirit. Because for me it was like God had sent a message to me to say... there are many who love you and who are rooting for you. You just don’t even know.

It’s no wonder Heavenly Father wanted him at home to help out a bit more.

My condolences to the family as I know such a great father and husband, brother, uncle and son will be sorely missed. In those lonely moments may you also remember and know, there are many who love you and who are rooting for you - on both sides of the veil.
Too many memories to capture …
2018, Szendrő, Hungary
Too many memories to capture but wanted to share something. My brother and I share a passion for the history of our Family in Hungary. Here we are visiting with the Catholic priest in Szendro as he showed us records from the 1700's that include our ancestors.

One of the most memorable things for me in the Temple was having Brother Sintay (he will always be Brother Sintay to me because of our association in the Temple) was having him receiving a Spanish speaking patron at the veil while I was honored to present in Spanish. It was always a special feeling knowing he was there for them to guide and show them love as only he could. His smile made everyone feel special though. I'll miss that there.
Wow how the time has gone, many many years since we all hung out at Boise state at the LDS Institute. Became good friends with Scott still wasn’t sure if he was good enough for you at that time😳🤓What a great strong couple you’ve been for so many people. What a blessing you both have been to your children and all who have known you.
I knew Scott was not doing well but it shocked me when I saw that he had passed away.

Scott has been such a warm and friendly light to us from day one! I can't even begin to say what I feel!! I'm so thankful for Scott and Nicki welcoming us into their family and inviting us over Christmas "Adam" year after year. We felt like a part of the Sintay family. One New Year's they invited us to join them for a camping trip at Camp Zarahemla! I remember it touched Ryan so much that Nicki would take the thought into writing our names carefully on each plastic cup. It was a way of showing that we were important to them.

I especially loved the treat of running into Scott and Nicki at the Temple when I came Saturday mornings. There was never a time that I didn't get a hug and kind words, it was really like a family reunion every time I saw them. I just feel so very blessed to have known this amazing man and his beautiful family. Truly, Scott is one of our heavenly treasures now!!
I still remember how kind he was to me when I first started to work in the temple. Though my service there was brief, he made a permanent impression on me of kindness and an earnest wanting to know me. Your family are wonderful examples to us all.
We first met Scott and his family at church about 15 years ago, around the time the Sintay's moved into Columbia ward. Scott was always very kind to us and even came to our home with his family to sing Christmas carols. Scott helped present my daughter Amanda with a Hispanic academic achievement award. Later he was our Bishop and helped counsel us through hard times, he had a gift for listening and giving good advice. When Scott worked at the insurance office, he gave me an opportunity to work for him, he was very patient and taught me a lot, a wonderful job experience. Scott's employees were a team, he treated us like family. Scott and I would speak Spanish to each other often, both for fun and to practice a second language we had in common. We have only good memories of him to treasure, he was one of the best people I have ever had the privilege of knowing and he'll be greatly missed. My condolences to his family. Until we meet again... I know he'll be happily serving his mission for our Heavenly Father.
Charlotte’s birth. I’ll never…
2104, Kennewick, WA, USA
Charlotte’s birth. I’ll never forget the role you played in her short life or our healing process. The Sunday after she was born was Easter. I couldn’t miss it. I well always remember the moment you took to talk about her birth and short life. She meant so much to us, and you took the time to make sure others knew how special and important she was too. You gave her her baby blessing and that will always mean so much to us. You were there for us right in the most heartbreaking time of our lives. The love and light you helped bring into our lives will never be forgotten. Thank you for being a blessing to us. We are honored to have known you. -The Brooks Family
