George Ronald Collins 1934-2024

George “Ronnie” Collins, 90, of Galloway New Jersey, died on July 28th 2024. He was surrounded by family.

He was born in Patterson, New Jersey to Evelyn Teitsworth Collins and George Collins. He attended Kent High School and played baseball. He went on to work at the United States Post Office as a Supervisor for international mail. He was so proud of his travels to Cuba and California. He married his late wife, Judy, in 1962. He had a lifelong love for horses and the racetrack, the Brooklyn Dodgers, and Cadillacs. He was a simple person, who loved his family and animals, and he will be missed by so many. He is predeceased by his parents, Evelyn Teitsworth Collins and George Collins, his wife, Judy Collins, his sisters Betsy Collins Karafin, and Marilyn Collins Koren. He is survived by his brother, David (Joyce), his daughters Suzanne (Charles) and Pamela (Paul), his grandchildren, Christine (Chris), Colinn (Todd), Peter (Brittney), Alex (Phelan), Charles, Christopher (Colleen), and Stanley, his great grandchildren- Grayson and Nathaniel, with one great granddaughter on the way, and his dear friend, Maryann Craft, and his nieces and nephews. He was deeply loved by so many and will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be held at the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave. Rutherford, NJ on Wednesday 7/31/2024 from 4:00pm-8:00pm

A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday 8/1/2024 at the Church of St. Mary, 91 Home Ave, Rutherford, NJ at 10:30AM. Interment in Crest Haven Cemetery, 750 Passaic Avenue, Clifton, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation to the Alzheimers Association, or to Hospice.
