George's obituary

George Gregory Neely was born October 3, 1959 in Washington, DC to Margaret Neely Spotwood and George Henry Neely.

He attended the Rowan County Public School System. While in high school,
George developed his love for art. After attending Westside High School in Newark, NJ, he earned a court reporting certificate and worked in the transportation industry.

George enjoyed cooking and was an avid sports fan. His favorite team was the Washington Redskins. Above all, George cherished the time he spent with his family.

George made his transition on April 25, 2020. He was preceded in death by his father, George Henry Neely.

He leaves to cherish his memories, children, LaToya (Edwin) and Christopher (Arin); mother, Margaret N. Spotwood; sisters, Cynthia and Bernadette, brother, Kenneth and other siblings; five grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
