Celebration of Life for George Thomas “Doodler” Henley

Please join us for a memorial service honoring the remarkable life and legacy of George Thomas “Doodler” Henley on Saturday, April 12, at 1:00 PM. The service will take place at Avondale Baptist Church, located at 2001 US Highway 45 Byp W, Humboldt, TN 38343. Reverend Bill Rice will deliver a special eulogy, celebrating George’s profound faith, love for his family, and enduring kindness that touched countless lives.

Following the service, we warmly invite everyone to gather for food and fellowship, sharing memories and stories that honor George’s lasting impact. Food will be provided, and anyone who feels led to contribute a dish is welcome to do so.

George lived a life filled with love, integrity, and generosity, leaving behind cherished memories with family, friends, and the community he deeply valued

George Thomas Henley, affectionately known as "Doodler," passed away peacefully on March 18, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and faith. Born October 13, 1935, in Humboldt, Tennessee, George was the fifth of six children of Samuel Herbert Henley and Hallie Elizabeth Henley.
