George "Pops, PeeWee" Stanley Harrington, 63, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away on September 27, 2022 in Mount Vernon. He was born February 25, 1959 in Lepanto, Arkansas to Thomas Harrington and Lera Kennedy.
George was preceeded in death, by several members of his biological, extended, and surrogate family.
His surrogate Grandfather, Eugene Jones, of Dix, Illinois.
His surrogate Sister, Carol Jones, of Dix, Illinois.
Best friend and Brother, Troy Bird, formerly of Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
Surrogate Father, Garland Green, formerly of Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Surrogate Brothers, Brian Newlon, and Jimmy "JimBo" Lancaster, both formerly of Mt. Vernon.
Former wife, Lily, mother of April and Tim Wilt. As well as Numerous others, truly loved, but not listed herein.
Surrogate son, Travis Jackson, of Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
George is survived by his biological sister, Teresa Caldwell and biological brother, Tom Harrington.
George is survived by the woman he loves, with his resting soul, June Patterson.
George is survived by his children, April and Tim Wilt, as well as his grandsons, Andrew Gill, Ashton Gill, and Aaron Wilt, as well as others truly loved but not listed herein.
George is survived by longtime love and Surrogate wife, Teresa Beck, Son and Daughter, Billy and Tracy Beck, and his grandchildren, Piper Sweetin, Monica Ryan, Christian Weber, And Great grandchild, Ainsley Rose Mallett.
George is survived by his Granddaughter, and Her Soon-to-be husband, Alexandria Finney, and Abdulrahman Alani, of Carbondale, Illinois.
George was survived by his Daughter Syble Beck and her Husband Jason Fairchild Sr, his grandsons, Jason Fairchild Jr, and Jackson Fairchild, as well as numerous others, truly loved but not listed herein.
His Daugher and surrogate son, Sylvia and Christian "CJ" Owen, and his numerous grandchildren, Robert Hunter Jr, Anton Berkel and others, truly loved but unlisted herein.
George was survived by his granddaughter, Kirstian Nicole Russell, Great grandchildren, Avilly Nesbitt, Kholtian Carpenter, Anesti Carpenter, and Amayli Marvell.
George is survived by his Pre-made family, Tracy Pierce, her daughter Brianna and sons Isaiah, Liagel, and Kahnan Lyons.
George is survived by his surrogate and loved son, William Michael "Mikeey" Pierce, of Walnut Hill, Illinois.

George was survived by his former wife, Melissa Bird, and her husband Jason Steiffel, Of Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
George was survived by his life-time friends, Jason and Felicia Tanner, of Ashley, Illinois.
George was Survived by his surrogate Brothers, Clifford Cook, and Thomas Cook.
His lifetime Sister, Rachel "Patterson" Cook, and Nephews, Ryan Newlon, and Riley January, of Mt. Vernon, and West Frankfort, Illinois.
George was survived by surrogate Daughter, Christal Copple, Granddaughters, Cortney Michelle Jackson, and Tiffany Renee Jackson, as well as Numerous great-grandchildren, truly loved but not listed herein.
George was survived by surrogate Brother, Ricky Ray Jones, of Dix, Illinois.
George was survived by Surrogate son, Jerry Gill, of Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
George was survived by grandson, Trenton Ray Cooley, of West Frankfort, Illinois.
George was survived by numerous men and women that he has mentored over the years, Justice Carpenter, Chalin Carpenter, William Wolf, and others who were loved but not listed herein.
George was known as Stan the Tree Man, by many beloved persons, and has taken every available opportunity in his life to teach the arbory he held dear, and was the Co-Founder of numerous tree service companies. Father & Son's Landscaping & Handy Service, Phoenix Landscaping & Beyond, L.T.S., and many more.
He was a Tree Man, by name, life, and trade. "Tree's were in his blood."

George moved to Illinois at a young age, and created a world of his own, that was like no other. He had an open heart for anyone from all walks of life, and only wanted to help, in the best ways he knew how.
He taught tree-servicing, and tree-climbing, to several men and women, He taught with the understanding that trees are to be respected, and tended to, not just cut down. He used ropes, a harness, and climbing gaffs, and would swing through the trees like he was born in one.
George continued tree work throughout his life, and worked, "every day, but Sunday!"
He was a God Loving man, a Beloved Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Mentor to so many people, and will always be remembered as such.
His family was chosen, by him, and he spent his life letting them know how much, he truly loved them.
