George was such a good entertainer.  His big Texas smile always greeted us.  I enjoyed 2 stepping with George and Joy.

They introduced me to my husband and his family, the Fergusons.  What a treasure.

Joy, George Jr, Stephanie and members of the family, I am so sorry for your loss.  Mr. Bradford was always insightful and kind.  He was helpful and challenging.  He was, of course, a person of faith.  I can almost imagine him giving God thanks for Christ, and then asking God about what's going on with wars, with poverty, with homelessnes, with prejudice, with hate, with illness, and with those who are lonely?!?  It makes me wonder for just a moment - "Is God ready for Mr. Bradford?"  Of course God is, but the question does come up for just a moment, and we know  it is probably interesting.  Mr. Bradford was never afraid to explore his faith.  When he was in Dallas, he took a class taught by Dr. Guy Garrett at First UMC of Richardson.  He remarked at that time, over 40 years ago, that he appreciated the opportunity to explore his faith.  Sounds like that never changed.  Mr. Bradford is, most unfortunately, gone; but his spirit will live on.  I pray that Joy and the family finds comfort and peace during this time of separation.  You are in our prayers.

Joy, Stephanie & George

My heart prayers to you all. It’s hard when you loose a husband and father

Keith

I moved to our community 7 years ago and George and Joy were so kind to me as were several people in our neighborhood. George was known for his clothes which he wore on holidays which made me smile. Loved his sense of humor. He always was joking with you and made you believe what he was saying. God bless his family.
In response to "What did you learn from George?"

I think of you both often. We had so many good times together. Dancing was the specialty. Loving Jesus was the top of the list. Your kindness and grace were shared with all. You introduced me to the Ferguson family. That was a life changing event. I recently thought of our Valentine's day double date. Norm dressed really sharp , but was freezing on Mount Washington . The rest us us were bundled. It was cold.

I will cry tears with you.

Is there anything I can do?

Sincerely

Ann Ferguson

God be with Joy, the family, and the many friends George made throughout his journey. I was a good friend from Ensley High School in Birmingham, Alabama, and well remember George, his smiling face, wit, and warmth as a friend.  He will be missed.
