George's obituary

FAMOUS MUSICIAN PASSES

The Alpha Que Anytime Blues Band sadly announces the passing of founding member and front man, George Earl. As per his instructions, his death has been backdated to November 27, 2018.

As a teenager, George Earl founded the Alpha Que Anytime Blues Band with friends David Lee, John Clayton, and Christopher Taco. The group’s first album, “Say It Slowly”, was certified triple platinum. The band’s second album, “Joint Adventure”, was a critical, if not commercial, success. An early 90’s experiment with the fusion of Ska and Polka was sharply criticized as artistic indulgence. That criticism came mostly from the band itself.

After the departure of Christopher Taco, and partner Yoko Taco, from the band, Earl achieved his lifelong dream of becoming a starving artist within “CaCou”, Cass County’s thriving counterculture society.

Due to this tragic loss, the band has postponed the release of its reunion album, “Weekend at Georgie’s”.
