Okay, so I may have believed him, briefly, when he told us his name was George Oliver Durham, his initials GOD.
George consulted at a group home I worked at in Vt. many moons ago. He brought a renewed energy with each visit. I was captivated by his wealth of knowledge, his gift to assess the needs of the challenging, individuals we served and his storytelling endless and riveting. George could entertain and tell a story but I came to learn how good of a listener he could be. George bolstered my confidence and afforded me great opportunities. George literally changed the course of my life when he asked me to help establish The Institute of Professional Practice, in the state of NH. I had never considered leaving Vt. All the while he had my back. He gathered a very talented, hardworking, fun loving team to over see IPPI in NH, which included Kim. I had the very best in the business in my corner, encouraging, teaching and supporting me, with George at the helm. He was my teacher and mentor when we met but over the years he became my friend. Thank you George “Oliver” Durham. You will forever have a place in my heart.
In response to "What did George love to do?"
Such a grave loss. He was amazing as is his whole family.  He will forever be missed.

George was an only child. This is my immediate family minus 18 people! I don't think he knew what he was getting in to. But he said he was honored to be part of this tribe.
Sending my condolences to Kim and the family. I love the song and remember so many stories from George about his sailboats going back 40 years. The gang of five picture is great and it's wonderful to see the girls all grown up!
My deepest condolences to Kim & the family.  I considered George to be one of my important mentors early in my career and have fond memories of our times.
