This memorial was created in honor of George Norris Cory, 75, of Glenmoore, who passed away at Chester County Hospital on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. after losing his battle with cancer. Born in West Chester, he was the beloved son of the late David James and Mary Ellen Cory. Formerly of Chester Springs, George graduated from Downingtown High School.

Having served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict, Mr. Cory was a dedicated veteran. Retired from his career, he previously worked for A & P and Super Fresh in Downingtown and Lionville. George's passion for gardening was evident, and he found great joy in watching his plants flourish. As well as riding his electric bicycle and scooter which brought him a sense of freedom and adventure. George was known for his handiness with tools and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those around him.

George is survived by his two daughters, Rachel Cory, and Adrian Snyder. His memory will forever be cherished by his five grandchildren: Samuel, Hannah, Timothy, Isaac, and Sarah. He is also survived by two sisters, Kathy Harris, and Barbara Jones. George was preceded in death by his twin brother, James Cory, and his brother David Cory.
