My husband and I lived in the apartment above George for over 6 years, and before we moved away we had already settled with the fact that we will never have a better neighbor than George. He always had a project (or 3) and typically those projects were geared toward helping to make others' lives easier. I specifically remember one day coming outside and seeing him laying tiles down between the grass and my parking spot. When I asked him what this latest project was, he shared that he was putting them down so that my feet didn't have to get wet when I was stepping into my car. He always grew such a beautiful garden, washed our cars more than we did ourselves, and made us work so hard to keep up with him while shoveling all of the snow off the driveway! George was the best neighbor and friend to us, and we will miss knowing that he is taking care of the place that was home to us for so long. Rest easy George.

Megan and Josh (those noisy upstairs neighbors 💕)

So sorry to hear this! My daughter lives next door and has not seen George in a couple of weeks and thought something must have happened. We are saddened by this news. Fly high George. Climb all of the trees that you want now.

Hey, hey, hey. Good afternoon, Mr. Cory. Wanna meet for a milkshake? I will always  picture in my mind, you giving the "our gang" secret handshake. You have toched my life in so many ways. You are my go-to guy for any car questions.  You're there with a shoulder to cry on when I need one. You have always been honest with me. I've come to depend on that honesty when I come to you for advice or an opinion. Sometimes it's a little brutal but it's always honest. I admire your strength, determination and bravery. Your selflessness is unending. I'm gonna miss you buddy. Good night, Mr. Cory. Love you!

I can certainly thank George for my lovely daughter in law, Adrian. and then getting a friendship with Rachel has been a second blessing.  I just love the photo of him with a little girl on each knee.

I admire  George's  extraordinary determination to fight the cancer.   He attended family gatherings, often during the social time after a meal.  He would do things for others quietly and without recognition, even hoping to  avoid  recognition.

His daughters were each able to lend him a hand in different circumstances over the years.  I am very touched by his family (mine too) as they took care of him in those last days.

I remember George well, we used to date. A very kind and affectionate man. Rest well my friend.
So sorry to hear of George’s passing.  We were fellow Comrade in Arms in the Viet Nam War and were great friends following high school.  So many wonderful fun times together.  He will be missed by many. 🙏🙏🙏
