Obituary
George was born into a mining family and studied geology in Upper Michigan. He did work in the mines for a while and lost an eye in a mining blast. He briefly visited a gold mine in Africa and almost died there of cholera.
George and Ruth Potter retired to Lancaster from the East Coast in the mid-1960s. George liked to meet with the local farmers at the Pink Pony and worked as a bailiff …
