George's obituary
George "Jinks" David Augustine passed away on May 21, 2025, at the age of 77. A proud Vietnam veteran and Purple Heart recipient, Jinks lived a life marked by courage, compassion, and an unwavering dedication to those he loved.
Born on July 21, 1947, Jinks answered the call of duty and served his country honorably in the U.S. military. His bravery in combat earned him the Purple Heart, but it was his strength of spirit, warmth, and generous heart that defined him long after his service.
Jinks leaves behind the love of his life and devoted partner, Lisa Ledwith. Together they built a life full of love, laughter, and deep connection. He is also survived by his beloved children—daughters Karen, Lisa, and Angel; and son Michael—as well as his cherished grandchildren: grandsons Dane and Brandon, and granddaughters Sarah and Danielle.
To know Jinks was to know joy. He found the laughter in life even during the hard times, loved selflessly, and gave endlessly. His presence filled every room with warmth, and his kindness left a lasting impact on all who knew him. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
A life well-lived, a heart well-loved, and a legacy that will continue to inspire—Jinks, thank you for everything. Your spirit lives on in the lives you've touched.
