George Blaine Atkinson, 86, of Taylorsville, Utah, passed away peacefully on February 8th, 2022, from Acute Leukemia.

George was predeceased by Son- Roger, Daughter-inlaw- Polly, Grandson- Chad, Father-William, and Mother- Laprieal Atkinson. He is survived by his wife Shirley, Daughter- Shauna (Steve) Clifford, Son-David (Terry), Son- Scott (Debbie), Daughter- Jalaine (James) Abbott, as well as 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

George was a private person who loved his family and had preferred to be surrounded by family during his last days in lieu of services.

George was a private person who worked hard to support his family, and he retired from Kennecott Copper to spend his time doing what he loved best. George could spend hours reminiscing about his family's good and bad times as it was all a part of life.

George was a person that would always say he didn't like animals and forbid them to be brought home, but that didn't last long as the pets arrived a new George appeared, and the pets were soon pampered only to become his little fur babies. Yes in the end he was a true animal lover and left behind his beloved puppy.

George will be missed by all that came to know him.
