George's obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George Huffman on April 30, 2025. Born on September 23, 1959, George was a man with a larger than life personality and a heart full of kindness.
George is lovingly remembered by his sisters Jonnie Comblo and Tonya Shugart. Also cherishing his memory are his nephew, Charles Bandy, and niece, Tabetha Rayczk and Nephew Dale Jones. George was predeceased by his father, John Chapman and Mother Jeannie Chapman who he missed dearly throughout the years.
George was a devoted fan of music, particularly the rock bands Led Zeppelin and Metallica. He spent countless hours listening to their albums, losing himself in the thunderous guitar riffs and complex drum patterns. He couldn't resist the energy of a live concert and eagerly awaited each new tour announcement.
When it came to sports, George passionately supported the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He would eagerly anticipate game days, enjoyed both the victories and endured the losses beside his team. His love for the Buccaneers made game days special, bringing family and friends together for these exciting occasions.
Boating and fishing were among George's favorite recreational activities, allowing him to enjoy the beauty of nature while he unwound in the peaceful quiet of the open water. He was a natural outdoorsman who reveled in the simplicity and calm of the natural world.
Locally, George was known to frequent the ABC Lounge and Mark Twain's in his younger days. These social spots brought much joy to George, where he found laughter, companionship, and plenty of good stories to share.
George will be remembered for his love of life, his radiant smile, and the endless memories that he leaves behind. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
