Grace and Peace from God Our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. We the neighbors of the 2300 Block of West Hagert Street in Philadelphia, PA offer our deepest empathy and love to the family. May you find assurance in the Words of God that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
We celebrate Genora Dawn Alford, affectionally known to us as Dawn, life and give thanks to the Lord for her love and dedication to her family.
We are placed in this world for a limited time. This world is not our home, we are just passing through on our way to our mansion that God has prepared for us. Dawn boarded a train bound from earth to glory; from the land of always wanting more to the land of no more; from the land where the sun goes up and down, to the land where there is no night; from the land of sickness and death to the land of by His strips she is healed.
Although it is difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort you. God will surround you with precious memories of your dear love one. God said in His word; as a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you.
We encourage the family to trust in the Lord with all your heart. Know that he can comfort you with His Love, sustain you with His power and give you a peace that surpasses all understanding. Hold fast to His promise from the writer of Hebrews, He will never leave nor forsake us. Take your Heavenly Creator at His word and trust Him to remain true to his promise.
Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart. And lean not on your own understanding; In all your way acknowledge him and He will direct your paths”
May God continue to bless your family and may heaven smile upon you, henceforth and for evermore.
