Thank you so much to all of those who made donations in Gene's honor. This event could not have been possible without your support. It was a truly fantastic day celebrating him with so many of his wonderful friends and colleagues. After expenses of the event, we are donating $250 to each of his special causes: The Bay Model, The Matthew Turner, Petaluma High School, and SkillsUSA. I will be sending out these donations in the next week or so.

I just want to take this moment to thank each and every one of you for being such a special part of Gene's life over the years, especially after he transitioned to assisted living. Whenever I would call him he always seemed to have a place to go, someone who was coming to visit him or pick him and take him to an event or to lunch. He truly was a social butterfly and I believe his longevity is attributed to the love and attention he was shown after making what might otherwise be a difficult life change.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for attending Gene's service; my heart is full and I am so thankful to have shared his amazing (and continuing) legacy with you all. It was such an honor to meet so many of Gene's colleagues and friends for the first time, as well as see familiar faces from the past!

Gene was truly a man with a legacy to aspire to. Thank you to each and every one of you for loving him.

Mr. Keith Benson, Automotive & Manufacturing Instructor and Engineering / Industrial Tech Dept Chair, informed me that his program in working on creating a memorial bench for Gene at Petaluma High School. Once it is completed, I hope to share photos of it on this website.
