I knew Gigi as a volunteer in the ER at SLUH for all the time she served there! She truly was a “volunteer Angel”. She checked on our patients to help them in the kindest of ways. Her smile, offers of a warm blanket, or just offering an ear to listen were comforting ways of her care. She offered thousands of Altoids to us over the years. We had the best breath ever on her days there! She loved the staff & we loved her. We always heard her updates on family and boy did she love each of you! She hosted some of our Christmas parties and we had great fun…because of Gigi. My sympathy to her husband and beloved family.  I’m sure she is wearing her pink volunteer jacket in Heaven and offering her time and a warm blanket. Love you Gigi❤️

I’m grateful for the many memories I have with and of Grammy: shopping trips to Marshalls, getting matching French manicures, family trips to Branson and the Lake of the Ozarks. Planning performances with the cousins then standing on the steps and singing “Tomorrow” from Annie for her and the other adults. Her reaction after riding a particularly fast roller coaster at Disney.

She was a great storyteller with some of her favorites told so often I’ve committed them to memory (“I used to pass myself on the highway!”, “He spoke the most beautiful French I’ve ever heard”). She laughed easily and was always quick with a retort.

I’ll think of her every time I see a chair figurine, a tin of Altoids, a Santa Claus statue, a bottled Starbucks frappuccino, a Christmas cactus, the movie Sister Act or hear a Dolly Parton song. The expression “read between the lines” will always make me think of her and laugh. But most of all, I will remember the way she loved her family and the pride she took in each and every one of us. Love you, Grammy!
