Gavin Riches, 65, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away on January 9, 2021 from Cancer.

Gavin was born in Taumarunui, New Zealand and grew up on his family's sheep and beef farm. He loved horsepower, especially in the form of John Deere Tractors and Porsches. He started racing motorbikes and cars in New Zealand when he was young and ultimately became a very accomplished Rally driver. His racing continued when he moved to the U.S. as an adult and he raced and competed at many tracks across the country winning multiple races. He owned a business for 20 years that specializes in Porsche cars. Most of his customers became good friends. His greatest passions in life were traveling, racing, John Deere tractors, his grandson Sebastian, and people. He treasured the relationships he had with friends. Most of all, he loved to share his vast knowledge of cars and racing skills with others to help them improve.

Gavin is survived by his wife Amy, his sister Gayle Sherson, his son Adam and 3 step children Meagan, Lindsey, and Ian, his grandson Sebastian. Gavin had a large extended family and circle of friends living in New Zealand.
